Wongarra

The Great Ocean Road skirts the hills in this area then falls to a small cove.  There are usually big seas and even bigger surf along the rocks and onto the small beach of the cove.  Local surfers call this area “The boneyard”, hopefully because Whalebone Creek finds the sea along this coast.

Logans Beach

Barham River and Marengo Beach

The Golf Course follows the coast from the Apollo Bay harbour around the point to the mouth of the Barham River. Apollo Bay main beach

The main beach runs in an arc for 4 kms from the harbour in town to the mouth of Wild Dog Creek. The low dunes along most of its length screen the beach from the town so that walking on the beach you feel like you are the first person to discover this place.
