Logans Beach is about 5 km south east from the Warrnambool city centre. It has become a popular whale viewing spot as Southern Right Whales return to Logans Beach every May on their way north and again in September/October with their newborn before heading for antartica’s summer. Logans Beach is referred to as a ‘whale nursery’ as the young are nurtured here in preparation for the long journey south. Often they can be seen at play just 100 metres off shore.
There is an elevated viewing platform on the sand dunes behind the beachTweet
