Drive to Kennett River on the Great Ocean Road, turn into Grey River Road and about one and a half kilometres along the road you will be guaranteed to spot koalas in the gum trees.
They rest during most of the day, starting to eat and move to new trees later in the afternoon.
If you don’t want to go off the Great Ocean Road, drive on from Kennett River 3 kilometres to Grey River and look for the rather bare section of forest on the left side of the road. There are almost always people spotting Koalas so your work will be done for you. Be careful parking and walking along the road as some of the bends in this area are blind.Tweet
