Geelong
Geelong is a bayside city with a population in excess of 100,000 people at the start of the Great Ocean Road. It developed as a port with strong links to western victoria’s wool industry, and is home to the national wool museum.
The waterfront has evolved from its roots as an industrial port to become a vibrant arts and entertainment district. There are several good quality restaurants and a growing accommodation sector.
The Geelong Wine Region is renowned for its Pinot Noir, and also produces excellent Chardonnay and Shiraz.
